Fatima Yusuf is a freelance photojournalist based in Lafia, Nasarawa state, North Central Nigeria. She is Nupe by tribe and hails from Edu local government area of Kwara state. 

Fatima studied Microbiology from the University of Abuja and graduated in 2019. She has been passionate about photography for a very long time and has been inspired by the work of her dad who was a prolific photographer in his youthful years. Fatima loves to capture cultural, social and political issues affecting individuals or societies. 

As a photojournalist, her driving force is to tell stories through images. To show the world what is happening and to bring attention to important issues. She uses her skills and training to document the world around her, and to share that documentation with others in a way that is respectful and empathetic.
